Welcome - what a great car and a great find! I'm with a lot of the other guys - I'd clean it up as is. Survivors are way cool and very unique. And I'd consider keeping the trailer hitch on it as a conversation piece. A friend of mine's '69 Hemi GTX had a bumper hitch on it when he bought it in '83. He found time slips inside the door when he restored it. Speculation is that the Hemi GTX may have been the tow car for a race car.

keep the hitch ,thats for the beer trailer :headbang:

Best Christmas ever!! Good Luck with it......Awesome!!

Awesome car! I grew up in Vandergrift and my folks still live there. Can you post a pic of the interior?

Great find. I agree with everyone else about cleaning it up and getting it running. Does it have a green interior also?

Thanks for the offer but I am going to play with her a while, I have only had her for 2 weeks.

You can store it in my garage. I will take good care of it for you.

Yes dark green interior

I need to take some more pics.

Sorry but the car's worthless without its numbers matching shift knob, hahaha. Dude, that is about as sweet a barn find as you can have, let's see some more of her!

Nice score! Hope you didn't have to give them an arm or a leg for it....:) Nice to know that there still are some barn finds out there. Maybe I'll run across one.

Very very nice.....In about 87 I was driving a 71 Road Runner 440 4spd up I 94 to Port Sanilac MI to go camping and a charger just like that blew past me towing a boat....will never forget that....that was the first thing I thought of when I saw the hitch....Thanks

Welcome aboard! Great find for sure, I can imagine wanting it all restored back to brand new looking and don't blame you.. I think i would clean it up real good, maybe buff it out and have a little fun in it, restore anytime but have some fun up front, Sometimes the restoration is more fun then work having had some fun first.. Good luck whatever you do and enjoy it!

This car is almost a twin to the one I have started working on. Mine is F3 ext., F8 int., green vinyl top, but with a black rump stripe. 4-speed also.

No Boat but the owner told me he towed 1 Harleys to Virgina in 1980.
