Has anyone had the issue of original arm rest pad smelling? I got a real nice set but they SMELL. Any suggestions on stuff to try?

Do they smell when you put your nose up to them, or smell up the car when it sets with the windows up?
Is the smell coming from the vinyl side, or the foam side?

You can scrub the vinyl side with a good cleaner. You can 'seal' the foam side with a rattle can (clear, black, white, etc.)

You could smell them if you were near but then u put them in a tub with a musty odor absorbing sponge. Now you need to have your nose near it. It is a musty odor still but I think its stuck in the foam. I think my only option would be to replace them

If it's a musty odor it's likely coming from mold and mildew, and you need to kill that off to get rid of the smell. Best thing for that is Tilex, but I don't know if soaking them in it would do the trick.

I have used Lysol sprayed liberally on some musty seat padding and then set out in the sun to dry with success. I would also try scrubbing with Tilex as Bruzilla suggested and then some drying in the sun. If one method doesn't work try the other. Good luck.

Thanks for all the advice ill see how well I can get all that into the padding
