I'm looking for a daily driver to use for about 8 months a year, for the other 4 months I will drive my 1999 civic as it is great in the snow and I live in Pennsylvania. I have a 1968 charger R/T that I drive on sunny weekends only, I love the car but could not use it as a daily driver. the charger is automatic. that leads me to the 1970 Roadrunner or GTX. First it must be a 4 speed, Black interior preferred, outside color does not matter. my budget is 20k that seems to be a fair price for a fair car. Numbers matching is not a big deal. I'm looking to try to purchase in spring of 2015 and then kinda fix as I go if it might need any minor repairs. the plus side to driving a car like this vs a newer car for 20k I think first I can work on it and it will not depreciate like all the newer cars. Any comments would be greatly appreciated, Thanks

My buddy is selling this 70 rr, 383/727, located in Pittsburgh PA. I know you said youre looking for a 4 speed but I thought I'd let you know anyway. Real road runner but not numbers matching, very solid car. He has extra parts and as well as pieces of grille missing in pics.

yea, this is pretty close to what I am looking for if it only had a 4 speed. Sorry, I'm pretty set on the 4 speed but thanks for posting anyway. he is close too! I'll keep looking for now. Thanks

Depends on what all has been done to the car. If its mostly stock, brought back to factory specs, 20-25 depending on the work done to it and how half assed that work was. I'm going to guess they slicked it with a little bondo and painted it. Ad says bubbles in the paint on the lower section of the car, though they don't specify where. I'm going to assume behind the rear wheels on both sides and in front of them. For the backs, to really fix it, its a little bit of patch work, for the fronts, it could be a little more extensive; to get water in to rust that part means getting water in-between the quarter and the rocker, so the rear windows might need new rubber and the rockers are decently rusted. Then again, I always assume worst plausible situation with cars unless there's pictures to back up an alternative. I'm no expert by any means, but again I'd think 20-25. Of course you'd have to see the car in person; pictures can hide a multitude of sins on a car.
