Nice!
I believe the "Dart" was its OWN model/car in 1961 and became a Dodge in 62'

Thanks for posting this abloch. I've been looking for a decent '62 Dart to build a Max Wedge clone with for a number of years and this one is perfect. The seller was great to deal with; very nice gentleman and understood how to negotiate. It will be at my place in a week or two (having it shipped from Idaho to Nebraska). Thanks again! You can mark this post as Sold.

Lucky for you Squeek as I was gonna snag that one myself ;) it's got the nice sports sweep . Don't forget to get your Chrysler. historical info....Well Done.

That's a good buy! Let us know more about it when you get her home.

I guess you'll become an official member on here now? We need all the '62s we can get!

Great score!

I love the 62 Dodges... but boy are they hard to find now.

Thanks for the kind words everyone! I'll post some pictures of it when it gets here; hopefully it's everything the seller claims it is. This one is next in line, I'm just about finished with my current project ('68 Barracuda convertible with a fuel injected 440) and then I'll dig into this. It's getting close to the time when I can't drive them anyway because of the cold and snow so this will make a good winter project.

Welcome to the 62 Dart club

Nice looking car...Did you buy it sight unseen based on the pics and sellers word?

Yes. I've bought enough cars over the years that I trust my gut after talking to the sellers. The last car I bought on Craigslist was in IL and I flew there with $18K cash in my pocket (fun going through airport security) and drove it home based on what the seller told me over the phone. That turned out fine and now I have a good story for bench racing at car shows. I've found that most (unfortunately not all) Mopar guys are decent people and don't want to screw everyone over to make a buck. It's going to the shipper tomorrow morning so I'll know in a week or so if this was a good buy or not. I'll post an update once it gets here; hopefully I'm not wrong on this one but we'll see.

That's pretty cool...I like to think also that all mopar guys are cool but I'm not as trustworthy as i have been burned before by being too trusting. Plus my wife would not be happy if I bought a car sight unseen. I would at least want someone to look at it for me before I would commit. I'm looking forward to your update!

In case anyone is interested, the Dart arrived in Nebraska on Friday. It is incredible how good of shape it's in. I posted some pictures here.
