I have a 1970 road runner with a 528 hemi in it gonna swap the manual steering box for power , anybody ever remove the box on a B body with a hemi and TTI headers ?Also I know the borgenson conversion is small do you think that would be a benifit

Gee, i installed my 70 hemi into my 70 superbee, no issues,
TTI headers, power steering etc.
I'll double check this afternoon if it is feasible to remove manual steering box with engine in car

The engine fits fine just wanted to change from manual steering to power and wondered if I could do this without taking the engine or drivers side header off looks pretty tight

The steering column will most likely need to be removed and the shaft swapped out too.

Don't know if this helps or not but swapped steering boxes in my E bod w a HEMI. Tight but got it done removing exh man. Gotta be more room in a B bod

FYI manual steering shafts are longer because the manual steering box is smaller/shorter than power so you will need to shorten or get column or just the shaft from a power steering car.

E body the engine is centered more than in the B body.

Thanks guys , yeah i have a power steering colum shaft , thinking about using a Borgenson conversion box , I know its a bit pricy but have herd good things and its smaller and lighter.
How about taking the box out the top with the battery box removed?
