I am selling one of my 1970 Chargers.
DETAILS:
1970 Charger R/T 440 4 Bbl. 4 speed with dana 60 track pack, power drum brakes, power steering
All drive-train numbers match
Interior is mostly complete, including all guages, dash, tic-toc-tach, pistol grip shifter with factory console. The lower door panels are missing as well as the front windshield interior trim, and I'm looking for the rear seats.
Body is rusty but not as bad as some Ive seen or restored. There are a few holes in the floor pans also.
the deck-lid is wasted as is the hood but comes with extras to replace them. Engine has rusty headers and holley carb., but the 956 radiator is still there. As with most chargers, the trunk pan is rusted pretty good(but not a huge hole). All the frame rails and torsion rod housing look solid. the front section of the fender tops and the fender bottoms also have some rust through. The front bumper is straight and not bad for a driver. the front grill and headlight doors are nice, but the surround is mostly gone, or cracked. The door scoops are still present and in good condition also.

The previous owner thought the engine was not numbers matching because it has the externally balanced forged crank with "six pack " balancer, but the way I understand it is that all the later production hp blocks in 70 had these. I checked the vin pad on the block and was excited to find the engine stamping matches the vin number as does the 4-speed transmission vin stamping. All the vin stampings, vin tag on dash, vin on rad support, trunk, door sticker, fender tag, and complete broadcast sheet are present and legible.

This is whats on the fender tag:

If your looking for a rare Charger, look no further. There are not many r/t, 4 speed, track pak Chargers out there and fewer with all numbers matching drive-trains. I have not started it yet, but the previous owner started it regularly, and the motor turns over. I will be working to get it started within the week and will update this post when I can confirm the motors running condition. I'm asking 16k OBO and will put in on ebay soon after I get it running and driving again which will be in the next week or two. I can take as many pics as you want... but here are a few:

P.S. this car was produced on the last day 70 chargers were made...could it be the last one?

Is this the same '70 Charger R/T that was sitting off of I-45 in South Houston for over 10 years in the parking lot of a ko-cart repair shop?

Yup, that's the one. It was stolen at at some point via flat bed and he put in inside for a few years after that. Update on car: I got it fired up and although loud due to an exhaust malfunction, she runs good.

Just wanted to update the info: installed new fuel tank, sender, fuel pump, wires, cap, rotor, plugs, coil, ballast resistor, ignition module, carb cleaned, oil change, etc. and she runs good. fixed exhaust leak, went through brake system, new master, brake hoses, rear cylinders, hardware kit, cleaned up the dash harness, and just waiting on a driveshaft to get her down the road. Will update when she is driving.

I took her for a drive today and she runs pretty good! The brakes have an issue and I'll be working to get that resolved as I think there should be a pivoting attachment between the pedal and booster(there is not one now), but is directly attached? Seems to not have enough pedal travel-so she tends to just slow down at full pedal...not too scary for me though. The booster works like butter though, so that's a good note. The power steering is fantastic also. I have to say the clutch seems to slip a little but managed to break the tires in second gear easily. I would recommend a full and thorough shakedown before taking her out on a big trip though as my intentions with the car were to simply get her in driving condition to prove the mechanical worth of the major components. Also, its a lot less money to ship a running car that can be driven onto a car hauler...... I had an eighteen wheeler show up to my house once to pick up a car that did not run and it was a huge fiasco..not to mention added cost to the buyer. The car has been listed by a friend of mine on ebay and you can bid on her there if your interested.... Thanks, Daniel
