I dropped off my 65 satellite small chrome at the DFW swap meet to what I thought was a good trusted chromer that was over 2 mo. ago he keeps saying he needs more money. I have an invoice stating the price. but now he wants 200.00 more for shipping a box that is maybe 18x 10x 6 in size and maybe 12# they go by the name of A1 chrome or J T chrome out of the City of Industry CA. john or David Treminio they have a real bad record with a Co. called Ripped Off that looks into rip offs if I knew this before I gave away my pieces I would not have. now with these missing pieces the car may not get done. plus the money I'm out of. I'm VERY PISSED OFF!!!!:angryfire::angry9:DO NOT TRUST THEM!!!!!

Tell them your brother lives near by and he will pick up the box... give me gas money and ill get it for you !! then ship it to ya !!

is everything payed for ??

Give him the address. There's nothing like a personal visit to get sh*t straightened out!!

They are probably regulated by the Bureau Of Auto Repair (BAR), a CA state agency that deals with complaints about auto related businesses. They literally have the power to put them out of business. In CA, in order to ask for more money, they need an agreement from you, either signed on an invoice or documented by phone. They cannot charge you more than the stated invoice and cannot hold your parts hostage. I would send them a registered letter stating your intention to file a complaint with the BAR, or at the least, email or text them the threat so you have a record. People like them need to be taught a lesson by an agency that has some teeth...Good luck.

Sorry about your mess but i have to ask why you sent them to Calif. when there is so many chrome places around DFW, I'm in Okla. and I've got got all mine done in Dallas are Terell and have had no problems with any of it.

A1 chrome was the slime ball but both A1 chrome and JT classic chrome are the same person A1 chrome shop is a UPS store. I did google map and found that out with the street level view.
