Anyone had any issues with AMD parts. Mainly bumpers.
Not bumpers but on the 68 charger front fenders I got from AMD the marker light holes are not centered on the crease. So I am not happy at all with them.
I was told they have since fixed the problem but the first few runs were off. I haven't tried to return them so that might be my bad. Just figured I could fix it. But kind of lame cutting on new high dollar fenders too. Like you said in a pinch at least you can get a fender. A few years ago you paid a lot for junk you had to repair to use.All this time I've been wondering how their fenders and such compared with their bumpers.
Now I know!
I guess if you're in a pinch with no other options then AMD is probably the only choice , but my guess would be to plan on reworking some of their stuff to make it fit and look halfway decent.
got and installed a front bumper from AMD. Im happy with it. Its better than I expected. The issue I had was I contacted numerous chrome companies for an ruff estimate on the original. (not sure if it even is the original. No part number anywhere on the bumper.) Cheapest quote was 490$ highest was 1800$. Now these quotes were for a bumper with no rust dings or dents. that would be extra. The (original) had dings and dents. I paid 369$ for a new one and its a pretty damn good bumper.
I believe that AMD is the only company that is making bumpers for these vintage cars.
