In the summer of '04 before starting my Senior year in high school, My dad and I made a deal with the janitor for some cars.

Picked a 74 satellite 4-door with no motor or trans, a 41 dodge 1/2 ton panel delivery, and this Fury.

Mainly wanted the Panel truck, but got all 3 for $200. Towed the 2 home, then winter hit and we couldn't get to the Fury, didn't necessarily forget about just never got a chance to go get it. Finally called the guy up, he said they had a crusher come in but knew we paid for it, so it was just sitting there waiting for us. Finally went and got it yesterday.. not much, but lots of parts.. 318 ~ 8 3/4rear

and nice to know that after 11yrs, it was still there, with all the glass and taillights, and headlights not broke out with a BB gun..

Wow, that's a cool car! I'd fix that up if it were me?

yup.. 318 2-bbl 2:94 rear gears..

Kinda curious about the SPECIAL ORDER tag.. tho..

I believe it means that it was ordered from a dealership and they didn't have one at the time so it was ordered.. but really there isn't anything "special" about it.. ??

if somone wanted to "fix it up" Its worth while, however.. 4 doors are not that desirable in my area, and would get parted out by whoever bought it.. but I'm sure I could convince my dad to sell if someone really wanted it..

If I weren't all the way on the other side of the country I'd buy it in a heart beat.

would make a great family car

I told the wife that when I picked up a 66 wagon once.... she didn't look to thrilled (it was rough)

this one has a cool little rear defrost motor in the back window.. and we still need to pop the truck and scrounge in the trunk

Road trip 747 - I'll fly out there with you and drive it back . . . WHAT could possibly go wrong ? ! ? ! ? ! ?

LMAO . . .

Neat ride . . .

Wow that's a long time to leave a purchased car with the seller. Glad he kept it there for you. Good luck with what ever you decide to do with her.

ya, it was in an old back field through a cow pasture past the barn on his family's old property....

at one point we actually came to terms that we left it, it was gone, but when I called him up he said he still had it. I think in the past few years he has only been out there a handful of times.. He only had the 74 satellite because he pulled the motor out and had his kid swap out the worn out 273 for the 318 in their '67 dart when he was a senior. (he was a couple years older then me) pretty nice car but its been sitting in the shop under a car cover for that long because it has an oil pressure issue.. he wants to fix it, and I have offered to help, but he has never attempted anything with it..

I'm with the others and would fix it up. Looks like it has a front anti-sway bar from the engine pix. Could be a fun ride. God know I love my '68 Fury III.

yes it does have a front sway bar on it..

All the glass is good... clear title... but interior is pretty much toast.. and yes, although the fury's and big chryslers are fun to cruise in and I have had a few of them.... I am not financially stable to save them all.. my '63 and my '55 come first... my dad has 3 '70s a '72 and a '33

so by the time we could ever get around to saving this one, it would be in even worse shape..

If someone local wants, it can be sold lol

Not particularly rare, as the 1967 PE41 Plymouth Fury I sedan build numbers total 29,454 for all engines. But, since you see about three of these nowadays, it would be a great hooptie car! Drive and enjoy!

The "Special Order" tag on this is kinda curious. Could've been a rental, a government car, or a service car of some sort. Or just a V8 four door a frugal customer wanted.

Too bad you can't take on another project, that would make a cool sleeper!
