Hey Mopar community! does anybody know the difference between the 1968 and the 1969 charger doors? I have a 68 that needs a door and found a guy who has a 1969 door. was wondering if everything will match up the same?

Thanks

I believe the doors are the same except for on the 68, the interior lock is towards the back of the door and on the 69 it's towards the middle.

I've seen a 68 with 69 doors on it but unsure if any adjustments were made.

Doors will interchange1 The lock button is in a different location as stated earlier.

It's probably similar to my '70 Plymouth. I've got a '68 driver's door on it. The '68 door lock knob hole was further back, so I blocked it off with fiberglass from underneath, filled depression with bondo, sand, paint & voila! Then I drilled a new hole in the location I measured from the passenger side and put all my '70 door guts into the '68 door. It wasn't really that hard at all.

The '70 we are working on has two different doors. The R is what I'm guessing is a '68 and the L is the original. There are some differences like the lock rod hole. The stamping is a little different too.
