1968 body with a 2011 hemi. There is a reason why they don't mak'em like they used to :)

Yeah, but were talking about what people LIKE and what is desirable today. Not dissing the 4 door owners but this hobby is really about what was popular with the gearhead of the day and they would not be caught dead in a 4 door. There was nothing sporty about a 4 door. A 4 door was something that your parents and grandparents drove.
I could not agree more, you are absolutely spot on ! Call me old school, or whatever, back then the ultimate "uncool" was driving a 4 door sedan. Back then we fixed 4 door cars to keep them running... we modified 2 door cars to RUN ! As far as I'm concerned, Chargers were built from 66-74. My apologies to 75, FWD, & LX owners, they may be nice cars, but....

the 1968 Charger is so HOT!

the 69 is ok..too

forgetabout the rest.

Tuff questions. Real charger is the Daytona hemi. or the 69 500. Built for beating the Fords. My favorite is the 71 R/T with ram air hood

1st gen were so cool when they came out.Funny thing,,,,,,,you could get a hemi but notta 440:glasses13:

I always liked the 1970 witht he big wrap around Bumper. i had a 70 Se hemi cara nd Everyone stopped at looked it. Red with black interior RT wow what a car..

Why is there a choice for "75 Charger...the orphan" when it went from four years from 1975-1978? No vote at all for the first A body Charger in 1965? To me that's a real orphan.

Yea, a buddy of mine had a 68 in the early 70's and I still love that body style.

My favorite would be a Hybrid, 69 RT with 68 side markers & 70 door vents & 6 bbl !!

My vote is for 66/67. We have a 66, love the body style, dash, that front grill.

that said, the 68-70's do look more "muscle car" imo

I just picked up my first charger a 1972 Rally sport clone, and so far I really like it! It drives nice much like my (72 road runner) and to me they are just a good cruiser and the 71- 74 B bodies are the best driving cars in my opinion of all the old B bodies 68-74.

I also havbe a lot of young import folks who really like those GLHS cars and they are wickedly fast heart breakers, Seen quite a few destroy mustang owner egos!

Mikey

I've owned every style but the 75's yuk. Anyways I am firmly in the 71-74 bracket but I love me a 73 then the 72 .
74's have to much junk added on and 71's are ok but I dislike the side markers so yeah 73 chargers then a 72 rallye but next would be the 66-67 charger the 68-70 is great and all but I like being different . The little turbo fwd is fun as hell but I don't call it a charger. The new ones are nice my 2014 was sweet but again to much b.s. I had to get rid of it because the transmission was a pain the car would down shift from 8th and hit every gear till 3rd by the time I got the power I ether didn't need it any more or it was time to back off .
