I have a 70 GTX 440 automatic that is a solid project car for restoration. It will need lower quarters, trunk floor and front driver floor patch. It ran when I first got but it's been sitting for a while and will need to be gone though. It has a matching # 440 motor but I haven't check the trans yet. Let me know if your interested and want more info. Please send me your phone number. I also have some parts to go along with the car. $15k
Thanks

does it have a fender tag ? pics of tag ,interior thanks

I will post some more pics shortly. No fender tag or build sheet at the moment. The previous owner is still looking for it.

All GTX's are VIN authenticated.
It would be "nice" to have Fender Tag though.
Good luck with sale!

The frame rails are solid and so is the floor except for the front driver side could use a patch. The car is located in Silver Spring, Maryland 20905. Please contact me and leave your number and I'll call you back.
Thanks

The fender tag would tell more of the options installed. The vin# only has the what model, body style, engine size, year made, assembly plant and factory production numbers.

I don't think the trans matches. Still no fender. I bought the car from the family of a guy who passed away. They are is the process of cleaning out his house and still looking for it. They might find it but no guarantees. The car is being sold without for now. I have a clear title.

I rebuilt the Carburetor, replaced the valley pan, starter rely, ballist resistor, voltage regulator, Ecu box, coil and cleaned up the manifold. It starts right up now but it will need a brake line replaced to drive. The motor is really clean on the inside. I forgot to take a pic while the pan was off. The motor might have rebuilt at sometime.

This would be a rare car to restore. It's one of 280 black GTX's made out of 7,000 total production for 1970.

Send me your contact info if interested. I am looking to make a deal this weekend.
Thanks

I do have some parts that could be part of the deal if needed.

Headliner
Tail lights
Exterior trim
Wood grain steering wheel.
Lower grill, Head light bezels
Upper GTX door panel
Full front radiator support
And more.

Great job on the 440 detail, Steve! Roger Wilson of 1970 GTX Registry confirms rarity of TX9 GTX for '70 Wish I had room to add this to my RAPID TRANSIT SYSTEM collection!!!

TX9
Are you sure we can't work a deal on this car? You know how rare it is and it would look good next to your TX9 ragtop bird. Let me know.
