can't spell "rusty" without an R/T

At least they didnt call it some bulshit survivor or barn find. Straight forward description and a real auction. As rough as it is it will give an indication of what the market will bear...
I'm gonna have to pass on this one...whew....

There is even pipe dreams of saving this rust bucket.

i think that's illegal :D
Lol...Look at what you quoted above....

No doubt that is illegal and that is the possibility for that car......As you know the guys over on DC.com log those VIN's for future use if that car pops up again......

Original down to the air cleaner very rough rust through out as expected

Very original car - and I don't see a single original part that won't need replacing. But I'd love to have a time lapse view of it sitting for 41 years.

Shame. Low mileage car. I too have seen them sit and rot for many years. Back East.
Reclaimed. 7100! Geez.

The ballast resistor looks pretty good from here...

My friends and I have seen a couple for away, despite our efforts to pry them out of the owner's fingers...
That 68 has the Fred Flinstone option...

Go to love that you can take pictures of the rear speaker and defogger from lying on the ground.

Re-body candidate, but wow, that price is high.

I've cannibalized and junked better cars and that car just not worth the cost of restoration. To rebody it would be even more expensive.

But good for the seller. He's laughing all the way to the bank.

Hey, The washer bottle is somehow still intact. Or at least it looks like it is.

you just gotta be a "glass half full" kinda guy........ first off, all you need is a rebuildable rear clip (solid rails, roof, and rockers)........ couple that with about 10,000 dollars in AMD metal (or more), 40K+ for body and paint labor (or more), and 5K for materials.......... plus the initial purchase, add in some shipping......rebuild the engine. trans, and rear...... replace the suspension....... plumming, electrical, dash, interior ...........

as I have said many times........ you could score most of these cars for free, find 10 grand in the glove box, and still be seriously under water

unless the leaf springs are sticking though the deck lid, it's a builder!
