I parked next to my buddies real sweet 65 GTO a few weeks ago at the local Gino's. I got a pic as I really like the 65 GTO's and his is a real nice one. I thought it was a cool pic of two cool vintage muscle cars. Ron

My first car was a '67 GTO and my older brother's 1st was a '65. My brother was a GTO guy having four of them that caught my fancy; his last was the rare '69 Ram Air IV (non-Judge) before biking became his thing. My 2nd car was a '70 Cuda and while I'm slanted to mopar having my '63 Plymouth since '95, I hold no ranking on nice muscle cars from the big-3. GTO's, Chevelles, 442's, Shelby Stangs, like 'em and appreciate 'em all.

My girl friend's dad had a 67 LeMans and thought it was a nice car but it rode kinda mushy. The 326 was hard to start too. This was in 68 and asked him if we could take it on a date and he said sure....if you can start it figuring there would be no way. Surprised him hehe. He let us take it.....:D How many dad's would let their daughter's boy friend use their car?? Anyways, I like the 65 Goats a lot but that 67 was decent and think it would have beaten my 318 66 Belvedere that I ended up with a few months later.

'65 GTO...My favorite non-Mopar muscle car.

HOLY COW!
Great car!
A Masterpiece!

Congratulations on owning a Very Rare car, Color combo (Color code "P")
Also, being a Pontiac lover too, great 421!
Thanks SB Ski..
My dad raced his 389 TriPower 4 speed car in 1965 at LaPlace Dragway. He won a first place trophy for beating another 65 GTO. 12.8s on 10" slicks with a "stock" motor. It had the mail order Bobcat kit installed. That was the lowest level of 3 Bobcat upgrades, the 2nd still modding the 389, but the top level was to swap in a 421. Once we get the Ford 9" posi based rear axle assembly in her car we should be able to easily beat his time.
