Good Evening,
I am trying to figure out how to get my 1972 Plymouth satellite body, completely stripped to the blasters (as soon as I have it completely stripped). My original plan was to either buy an auto twirler body cart or make my own and put the car on a trailer strapped down really good and go from there. Now I am thinking about maybe picking the stripped body up and putting it on a trailer without casters. Thus why I am wondering if anyone knows what the stripped body weighs. By stripped I mean a body with everything that can be unbolted, unbolted, including all the removable sheetmetal (doors, trunk lid, fenders, hood, etc...).

With all sheet metal, hood doors and deck lid, still there your looking at ~1000lb. You’ll need no less than 4 big boys to move it around. I’m sure your blaster will not appreciate you bringing it like that. They’ll probably move it around with a fork lift.

Yeah, 69L makes a good point. Maybe you should call your blaster and ask him what's best for him? I'd hate to see your car get damaged because the shop didn't have a convenient way to move it around.

Here is my Charger getting ready for the blaster, US Car Tool (pricey) but convenient for me.

You might check to see if there is a mobile "Dustless Blaster" dealer in your area. They come to you and are quicker and cheaper than media blasting.

Thank you all for the replies. I talked with the media blaster today and was told that they have their own dollies so it didn't matter how I brought it.
MoparLeo, I did check into mobile blasters, but none guarantee against warping panels, while the place I am taking it to does, which is a large part of why I will be using them.
