Do you have any phobias?

California wild fires.. or wild fires of any kind, rattlesnakes (been bitten before)

Great topic.
Phobia #2 are crowds of people. Why? When I was about 6 years old we were on a subway platform in Mexico and crowds of people were pushing in from behind. We almost got pushed off the platform in front of the oncoming subway train. In a crowd, you could be Hercules and still be powerless. A crowd in a panic situation kill people because people fall and get trampled to death. They don't get trampled to death because others don't care, they get trampled because in a crowd, you will get pushed wherever and however the crowd goes. This is why I don't like concerts, large sporting events and things like this - makes me antsy
Hawk
Amen. I HATE crowds - cities, events, anything where the claustrophobia caused by too many damn people in one place kicks in.
Tiny cars - same thing, claustro...
How do you say it? I don't like my personal space being invaded, whether on foot or in a car.
Traffic? Same thing. HATE traffic and have actually witnessed people die in that ****, so no thanks.
I grew up in a city and lived in another most of my early years (35 or so) - but there's a reason I headed
to the hills 24 years ago.
LOTS of room out here. I only own large vehicles.
I don't go TO crowded events (the Braves game was a rare venture into that world earlier this year and that
place was PACKED. Ugh.).
I don't even like tight clothes. Gimme some SPACE here, man!

I went to Kemah boardwalk right after Ike hit, my daughter wanted to ride that tall ride (150') that swings you out. I'm standing in line looking at everything and notice the bolts that anchor the base and started thinking about how long those anchors had been exposed to salt water... were the concrete workers that set the forms trained??? Then I start thinking about a response, if this thing goes over and we land in the water how am I going to get my daughter out, what if we land on the roof of Landrys.... it was again exilerhating!!!

So calm and mesmerizing as it quietly slings you out to your doom! :)

I ain't afraid of nothing!......wait...what was that:eek:....

I'm afraid of ignorant, clueless people that are in charge of projects.....

Oh, you went to Tilman Fertitta's Circus! Been there only a couple of times since he turned that place upside down and haven't been on any of the rides. A lot of people like it but imo, it was much better being a quaint water front destination with some really good restaurants. Joe Lee's was one of the better ones that used to be there and had an upstairs area with a great view of Galvestion Bay.

phobia's?
inept moronic people in government taking over more control of my life..

I was very fortunate to escape without a mark on me,the people who were 5 seconds behind me are burn victims, and the ones who were 10 seconds behind me didn't survive the fire. I count my blessings every day.

High places suck. Get woozy cleaning my gutters on a 6 foot ladder.:praying:

I can relate to that,I fell of an eight foot step ladder while building my garage, and shattered my heel into five pieces! It is held together by titanium plates and screws now.

Animal ****, especially dog ****. I'll pass on a thousand dollar bill to walk a yard where there is dog ****. If I see some on my yard I have troubles going to sleep at night. I considered going to a shrink.

A friend of mine's dad was exactly the same. When we were playing golf once he accidently stepped on a pile, LOL he was getting the dry heaves rolling on the ground on the side of the tee box crying about the brand new golf shoes he was going to have to throw away, literally they were brand new Footjoys… funny as "****"

Yep,I was in the Station night club fire,in Rhode Island back in 2003.
Been reviewing that incident for Active Shooter training. . was amazed at how many people died trying to exit out of the same door they came in and didnt utilize the other exits....

That's how my friends and I got out, we were waiting in that line to exit out the main entrance, and the line wasn't moving. I saw an exit sign across the room at the side of the bar,and I told my friends that we needed to go that way. I got about 15 feet from the door, and all hell broke loose! The power went out,and the toxic smoke hit the wall and came back at me,there was no visability. Eveyone started pushing, and you couldn't do what they tell you to do,and go down to the floor, because you would have been trampled to death by the panicking crowd. I finally got to the wall, and I thought that it was over, and I was going to die right there. I started running my hands down the wall trying to find the doorway, I didn't know if the door was to my left or right. Someone brushed by me on my left,so I went to the left. I went hand over hand to the left until I felt the door jamb. Everyone was piling out the door onto the ground at the bottom of the stairs. I grabbed the door jamb and pulled myself out the door over the top of the piling people, and fell into the pile at the bottom of the stairs.people were jumping out and landing on us. At first I couldn't pull my leg out of the pile of people, I finally got it free. I remember hearing a whush sound when I went through the door, when I was in the pile of people, I could see clear into the building because that whush sound I heard was the air being sucked in to the building feeding the fire. After getting free from the pile of people, we were trying to pull people out of the door way but the flames were too much, right then a firefighter in full gear took over pulling people out. I then started to look for my friends, and as I came around the front corner, I saw my friend pulling people out of the window, but his wife was no where to be found. He finally reached around inside the window, ,and grabbed her by the shirt, and pulled her out the window. The top of her hair was on fire. There were people climbing out the windows with their hair and clothes on fire, and people were using the snow to put them out! As it turns out, my friends and I were separated when everything turned dark, and they pried open a window with the help of a few other people and got out that way. I never seen a building burn so fast!
