Pete Rose - Hall Of Fame or not

They all lie. We know they lie. The only reason they come clean is because of a crisis coach and they see how Pete Rose was made an example of and they don't want that punishment.

I have a question for those who think Rose should be in the Hof. ( And I am not saying I would NOT put him in).What would you think if it was proved he threw games to win his bets? Because that is what is implied by the prohibition of gambling. Do you really think a degenerate gambling addict wouldn't do everything possible to win.?
Personally, if I believed he only bet on his team to win, sure, put him in, but if you don't believe the proven liar, then what?

I’m not sure I would classify Pete as a degenerate gambling addict and I don’t feel it will ever be proven that he threw games to win bets. He has stated it was just another way for him to compete. I wish he would have fessed up initially that he had gambled instead of wishing now he had done exactly that.
