I looked around but didnt find anything, but if any of you guys are running an external transmission cooler I was looking for ideas on what brand, size, if you made hard lines, and how you decided to mount it up, etc. Thanks in advance...

Hayden tranns cooler, installed in front of radiator with hoses. Had it for a built 904 on my challenger.

BOOM:

I made my own brackets to mount this generic parts store RV-esque type cooler back when I had a radiator that had no provisions to cool the transmission. I now have a different radiator so I might run the hot line through the radiator first, then the external cooler, then back to the trans.

This is with the hood latch support in place, effectively blocking the view of the cooler.

You can see the rubber lines going through the core support and to the cooler.

Wow thanks for the replies guys, excellent setups. Of course, the fan i installed in front of the radiator will keep me from following those ideas. How about mounting the transmission cooler behind the fan? Or does the fan have to sit flat on the radiator?

Oh and I just noticed that piece of steel running from the K member to the lower radiator support; yet another piece my car is missing...
