Removing Lower Control Arm Bushings: Welding/Pressing

yup thats what i did,also it got the stiffing plates made difference on cornering.
 
I have a 1-3/8" tap I screw in and press it out. Much quicker.

The 1/38 tap ....wish I had thought of that!!!!
 
Wish I'd thought or known about the tap trick as well.. instead of me modifying Mancini's puller to work.

As a shade tree mechanic the way I always got those pesky outer shells out was to re-assemble a hacksaw so the blade went through the hole. As soon as it’s been cut through it slides right out. Log splitter as a press, torch to melt out rubber.
 
The welded washer didn't work on mine. I used a chisel and hammer. It probably took 20 minutes on each one. Takes some skill.
