Hey guys and gals! Hope all is well with you all! The wife and I are still working out all the gremlins since the engine has been rebuilt. This has what has been done: I worked out the shifting and kickdown issue, adjusted the edelbrock 600 fuel and idle trim, have done the 500 mile break in period and have done the oil and filter change. After driving it for a bit there is no an oil leak which points to an oil pan gasket issue. I obviously need to take care of that and dropping the front suspension or essentially disassembling the front suspension and replacing all the tie rod ends and ball joints at the same time ong with the the shocks and all the bushings. My question is would I be able to drop that oil pan taking all that stuff out and if so what gasket do you recommend for the oil pan. Suspension work if fairly easy and have always enjoyed doing it. Thanks for your help!

Well you can just drop the engine out from the bottom and then take engine off the k frame. Then you can tackle both jobs at once. Go to engine thread you can see how it's done.good luck

I think you can turn the steering wheel all the way to one side and just split one side.

The link should swing out of the way just enough to clear the oil pan.
