Hey guys, looking for pic's so I can attach it properly as well as the location. This is what it looks like right now & I have a feeling that the part not being OEM (bought from Mega Parts) might need modification. Seems off.

Also when I look online I've seen pic's of it attached where the neg battery cable is but then the front arm sticks out way to far.

Thanks in advance,
Roger!

Battery cable goes with the bracket bolt in the intake. The arm on the bracket, the end of it goes into the bolt hole where you have the battery cable connected currently.

Not sure if factory correct.

Yes, here is a picture of mine.

Nice, but incorrect. The cable end is formed the way it is specifically to fit UNDER the throttle spring bracket. NO washer under the bolt head either as RC shows above on his RR. The "serrations" you see on the bracket are not from a washer, the bracket was stamped this way..

Keep in mind the reason the cable end was mounted under the bracket prior to painting was to ensure a good ground. Hopefully you cleaned the end, underside of the bracket, and mounting surface of existing paint before mounting it.

Yep. thanks!

Rebels pic is the most correct. Correct spring with the bracket engine color

Does anyone have a picture of this spring retainer on an AC equipped 69 RR? Mine has a compressor mounting bolt in the hole the tab engages. Its an aftemarket compressor with what looks like homemade bracket, but curious what the factory application looked like.

Thanks.
