On my 69 Dodge Charger the rear inner catwhiskers/sweeps are stapled to the inner top pad. What is the best way to fasten these?

New CatWiskers come with new staples.
Not the same car as you have but the same procedure is used.

I've known some to use pop rivits, some screws.

Thanks. Mine did not come with staples. Any idea where to find them?

The set i used on my Coronet did come with staples.
For installation i drilled small holes in the catwiskers and the door card, after pushing the staple through you just use a small punch and small hammer to flatten the ends.

I've made them using 1/16" welding rod for many years. Find a pair of pliers the right width and start bending. I use needle nose to give me the option of different sizes. UN-coated rod will age like the original.
