I'm doing some mechanical maintenance to my daughter's 1981 Camaro BunbleBee. Girls everywhere yell, "I love your car!" They think it's beautiful. They don't notice the body putty coming off in chunks or the terrible door seams. It's embarrassing because the car really is a POS. All they see is BumbleBee from Transformers. So if you want attention from women get a 2nd Gen Camaro in yellow with black stripes.

LOL, my daughters will look at cars or other stuff that's shitty as can be and just seem to overlook it. I'll point out what's shitty and they'll say "oh..." or 'Is that bad?" They'll buy crappy-cute used furniture and other chit well...there's dad to fix it...

Well i think the 81 camaro isn't a bad car.
Its not the greatest car ever but still pretty decent.

I was considering one for my first car but then luckily bought a 72 cutlass supreme that i still have today.

HATE those cars. Worked at independent repair shops and chain stores, worked on that junk daily. Many were owners by clueless women. Some owned by good women. Mostly late 70’s when they sold lots of them. Never seen many of the 70 1/2-73 models, looks like the same junky car though.

Your 72 cutlass is a much better car.

It steers really weird like you're driving a tractor. Sitting on the rear axle with a whole lotta hood out in front of you.

I bought it about 8 years ago and paid $900. Couple of repairs, I've got about $2000 in now. Can't find anything half nice for under $10K now,

I had a 1978 Z28 as a daily driver in my late teens, early 20’s. Great handling car. It was 20 years old at the time. 3.73 gears made it fun to drive.

Told my daughters that if they buy crap, I ain't fixing it but found myself fixing a PT (pitiful thing) GT Turbo until I got sick of fixing it. She now has something that might be worse.....a 70 El Crapinino lol At least she's not asking me to work on it so maybe it's a decent car/truck?

The car from the movie had that huge front bumper. Our '81 had the one-piece plastic cover. Most don't know the difference. If I had my choice I get the split grille from the early 70's.

You're a brave soul working on the Positively traumatizing with turbo.

I thought er know working on LH bodies are bad. PT takes it up a notch!

When the PT first came out my wife wanted one but when I raised the hood at the dealership, it took me every bit of 3 seconds to drop it and say nope! We usually keep cars well past the warranty date and wasn't about to buy one. Don't care for FWD in the first place and really didn't care for the PT. Well, when the youngest wanted her own car, mom went to 'help' her find one. Buddy of mine that owns a used car lot just happened to have a PT and he doesn't care about ChryCo cars. Asked him why in the world did he even have it on the lot let alone sell it to her lol.

I've had Hemi Cudas, Hemi Chargers, Challengers, GTXs, Road Runners, a Corvette, a Viper and the vehicle chicks seemed to like the best was my somewhat rusty 69 D100.

Met my first wife in 79 and was driving a 74 D100 short bed with /6 and 3 on the tree and absolutely no options. It didn't even have AC. Had just sold my 66 Mustang Fastback with a 289 and 4 speed. Now if I had kept that car, I'm sure we wouldn't have got married dang it lol. She really didn't like cars and still doesn't and she would have hated the Mudstain. :D But I told her I was a drag racer before we tied the knot.....AND was out of a job at the time! She still is pretty weird but is the mother of one of my daughters.

1970 through 1973. It was part of the Rally Sport package, not Z28, if I recall correctly

Had to order the Z28 with the RS package to get the split bumper with the turn signals next to the headlights.. The SS package had the full bumper with the turn signals under the headlights.... I had a 73 split bumper Z28 in 74-78..
The yellow car above is an SS with split bumpers installed on it..
