I second that they are welded. I didnt notice any bolts when I put the road runner together.

Why would you want to remove them. Welded part of the structure and why coupes flex less than hardtops.

Visually post cars look shorter than the sedan cars. A plus in my opinion.

I do not like the look.

My father removed his from his orange 1969 Dodge Super Bee in 1985. Sold it in 1987 Tampa, Florida. Always figured that would be an easy way to find his car lol.

I think there would be a Title conflict in the body type.

Not by removing the post. I don't think the DMV would give one ounce of crap if the body was modified. Unless the VIN was modified. He said his Dad removed the post.

If you remove the post, then what are you going to do for glass. Change the door glass (because they are different), cut the quarter panel open and add a rear roll up glass out of a hardtop?

He had 3 Super Bees. I'm sure he just swapped out the windows and equipment to make it standard.

I just don't like the post look. I got a good deal on this car

You wouldn't have to cut open the quarter panel. You just change the equipment inside

Sorry, but you would. There is no slot for the rear roll up window to come through on a Coupe quarter panel/door opening.

You'll also need new roof rail trim and seals...

This shows my post removed you can see where I use a bead drill to cut the weld. Had to replace the inner frame rail was rotten. Also replaced the latch pillar post so had to do this to both sides. If I am not wrong all the shell is either post or roll up window. If you notice all the holes to bolt the mech for the roll up window.
