65 Only

From my post #210:

Some pics of my cracked & faded original wheel which is in the hands of Charlie Quarters (65satelliteman) this week for restoration & back to correct light blue color (H1B). No cracks in the spokes or rim, just the hub. Will update when it gets back home.

I boated there when it wasn't even there, 50 years ago. Yes I have been there, many times.
We used to go from the mid 80's thru mid 90's, watching "local boy" Bill Seebold and sons, what a great time! and drove right by the old chrysler plant on our way down!:moparsmiley:

My father got me in to Mopars as soon as I could drive, unfortunately my lack of self control took a toll on my DL:rolleyes:, so I got into fast outboard boats, culminating in my twin engine, '21 Skater.
After doing that for 35 years, I figured the law of averages was catching up to me soooooo back into cars!

That's flat out screaming in a boat, 127 mph. My friend helps run the shoot out at the lake of the Ozarks. He's got a 40 something foot cruiser they use for the officials to float around on at the race. My boat was clocked at 74.2 mph, 454 IO, 24 pitch 3 blade. Before I started getting houses at the lake of the Ozarks I parked my boat in that third bay, it was 50 foot deep. After it went to the lake never to return I used that bay to build cars in.
A friend I worked with at Chrysler built boats with the Seebolds. I started working with him in 1986, so it must have been in the early 80's when he was with them. He use to talk about how much he enjoyed working with them. I was a good furniture maker, but Jim had a gifted talent and could build anything. I haven't thought about that in a long time!!

My Belvedere wagon. It was originally for my wife but we bought a 67 Fury wagon that she likes much better. This is an older pic when my wife just wanted a stock ride. I've been turning it into an old school hot rod from back in the day. I have bigger Magnum 500 rims in the back for now, added traction bars that have been sitting in my garage for years to give it the look. I've raised the front and back suspensions. Threw some oldschool stickers. It's at my buddies right now getting some floor work done. After that goes dual exhaust, a tach mounted on the top of the dash and some hood pins. I'll get more pics later.
