Is there one or two horns on the 74 models? There's a low tone horn behind the driver's side headlight bucket with a wire plugged into it. There's a horn on the passenger's side behind the headlight bucket but no wire anywhere to hook up to it. Testing it shows it's a high note horn. The FSM shows two horns on some models but isn't really clear for the 74 Chargers. Anyone have info on this?
Thanks.

It also may be model/price class specific.

My RL21 (low price class) only had one horn and I have no reason to believe another was removed.

...but if you have 2, then I bet that's what it's supposed to have.

My car got two.
Nacho, what color is the wire in your car going to the right side horn. The left side horn in my car (in front of battery)has a green wire (with tracer?) going to it but there's no wire on the right side. That's what made me question the right side horn. Checking my other 74 shows the same - a right side horn with no wire to it.

My harness was hacked up and I rebuild it by myself using a donor harness, so I made the splice from side to side. Green with red trace is the original color.

I can check wiring diagram tomorrow.

I THINK the side to side wire was running outside the harness tape, being added if equipped without retappe the harness. Similar thing was made on cars with cruise control about the windshield washer pump, which got a wire extension from driver side up to passenger inner fender, but not down the harness tape, running with it thrught the radiator core support

But that's a guess.

I know also some cars made for New York got a horn selector, to make to horn with single or dual horns depending if being into the city or the country. I think the diagram shows that too.

Nacho, you are correct about the New York horn relay/switch and as you can see in the attached FSM drawings photos, it shows those. It only shows one horn behind the left headlight. One of mine could be added. Like you did, I may run another wire over to the right side horn. Thanks.

I'm pretty sure the dual horns are not exclusively for Police cars. About NY cars dual horn setup diagram shows just the diff on how to wire it with the horn selector setup, being diff than a standard wiring. I made anyway the two horn setup without the C31 conector, just splicing it to the wire coming from cab at horn plug... althought I found later that conector from a donor harness, but didn't modify it. Maybe will make it someday.

Even I try to make my car correct, I'm not being excesivelly picky with it. After all my car was not assembled in USA, and is actually ( or will be again when reassembled back ) a mixing of the USA Rallye version with the Venezuelan touchs.

I went ahead and made a wire to go from the driver's side horn to the passenger's side horn without cutting into the original harness. Used the double wire plug from an old wire harness I had and plugged it into the original horn plug. Thanks for the information Nacho.

Where could someone obtain that double wire connector? It is also used on carb idle solenoids. Would like to find one to make the correct looking harness/jumper to the right side horn. My car had dual horns but took it apart in 2000 and now 98% done and can’t find the right side horn wire.

I have got two from some donor harnesses... never have seen either the terminal nor the plug being available around

I've got a collection of bare spade lug - 2 male and 1 female, 3 male Y, and stacking 1 female to 2 male made for doing this.

Not super easy to find and not factory, but they work.

I have some also. I also have the tool to remove the female terminal from the plastic housing if you want white. I also have some with double pink wires coming out.

I went ahead and wired mine like my e-body as shown in photo attached. That's why I used the double wire connector shown in my photo in my post above. Maybe they went with the other connector for the horns on b-body. As I stated when I first started this post, my Charger had two horns but only one was hooked up. I realized the right side horn was probably never connected.

Thank You everyone, yes the connector I am looking for is the one that Nacho RT74 showed. I do believe that was the proper way to add the right side horn. Terry I could make it work just fine if I do it as your e-body pic is, my 71 SuperBee is the same way. If anyone knows where I can find a connector like Nacho has pictured please let me know and Thanks Again!
