I preferred the Appliance wheels over Cragar because they had proper steel spokes instead of cast aluminum.

Good! Glad you enjoyed them; I just couldnt deal with their looks. Aesthetics uber alles...
Having said that, I certainly don't question the quality. Appliance made some good products; their wheels always met or exceeded spec and I personally liked their headers. The AK5000 series was the first 'coated' header that I know of. They lasted well.
