Hello all,
A little while back I was looking for the nut for the hood bumper on a 70 GTX. Someone on here was nice enough to send me one free of charge. An NOS one at that. I am greatful to them! My question / concern / problem is this: My NOS fender has the rectangular nut welded on to it, which is incorrect. It looks easy enough to get off, but to get the new nut on, I will need to "cut" 4 slices in the brace where the nut is located. Has anyone else done this? What did you use to make the slots / slices without distorting the metal surrounding it? Any special tool or did you make your own?
Thanks, Tom
