Why can't I find RACE hemi orange, there is Chrysler orange, I saw hemi orange but not race. Can you guys enlighten me please?
I think it's called royal blue? That would sure be sweetAl - just paint it Ford blue - ala Jake King.![]()
1 can should do it. Did you ever take paint from "dead"can and put it in a new can? I have 1 1/2 dead cans.Itis. How much do you need?
Yes. You can do it. The propellant spray bottles are available at well stocked Ace hardware stores. Home Depot may even have them.1 can should do it. Did you ever take paint from "dead"can and put it in a new can? I have 1 1/2 dead cans.
Found that VHT makes a Race Hemi Orange in a spray bomb. Friend of mine saved me the trip to S&K Speed to pick them up.Yes. You can do it. The propellant spray bottles are available at well stocked Ace hardware stores. Home Depot may even have them.
Special K who is closer to you than I, has the tool to extract the paint from the cans.
S&K Speed is hands down, drop the mic, best speed shop on the whole east coast, maybe even the whole country. So glad that they are close enough to us to go get the parts on the same day. I've called on some items that I thought would not be in stock, and they've had it.Found that VHT makes a Race Hemi Orange in a spray bomb. Now to get everything up to temp and spray!

I can't see how such a small outlet compared to the big ones, has the room for such much stuff, be it Chrysler, Ford or Chevrolet. Not to mention it being the original home of the infamous quarter mile, quarter million Hemi Dart.

Open it carefully, mix a little enamel reducer to get it thin, put in a glass jar with good sealing top. If fact I need two cans myself. Or get that tool that mechanics are now using on Freon cans, it squeases around the can, punches a hole then comes out the hose. Use a valve on hose end to release pressure in any left in it.1 can should do it. Did you ever take paint from "dead"can and put it in a new can? I have 1 1/2 dead cans.
Best engine color out there imo, I have 3 engines I need to paint.Race Hemi is P4120751AB Mopar

The bottom of intake color is what I want.I'm sure you know, but...
The race hemi is very yellow compared to "hemi orange".
I was very unimpressed with mopar paint cans of race hemi. It doesn't cover, durability is ship.
I tried lots of places looking for the race hemi.
Finally gave Bob Mazzolinis stuff a try. His cans say " Omaha orange", but Bob said it was right. He was correct. Very happy with results so far.
Last I heard tho, Bob was closing his shop, health concerns.
(The krylon is real close, not quite right).

Actually the top and bottom are the same. Lighting and camera resolution makes orange really difficult to reproduce. The intake pics are from a tablet in one shot, and a phone in the other. The sample shootings on the cardboard show difference the tablet can't reproduce. The bottom of intake color is what I want.
