Now that looks like it hurt. And that’s coming from a guy who hits his head on everything!
Ouch!!!! Had a semi-truck tire slip on me years ago & pinned 2 fingers between center rim hole & brake drum. Skinned & bleeding,, bandaged and went back to work a little slower. Tire&wheel 125#(?), felt like a ton.
that sucks,been there and done that. Did you land on your A$$?
If he didn’t, he was shaking his head and wondering what happened!

Why I stopped running for the phone in the hangar 20 some years ago! Got tired of waking up on the cement floor after clipping a wing trailing edge, or the 8 lb lead counter weight under my flaperons!

Yes it did. Bad. Instant splitting headache and throbbing.
That had to hurt quite a bit, tons of nerves in the hand.
Nope. Grabbed my head, cussed, pressed a shop rag on it and sat down. I knew immediately it was not good.
Thanks. No mess. Shop rag caught all the blood. It clotted pretty good, probably because of the 5w30.
Wasn't pneumatic, hand power like a regular staple gun. It was all numbed up from lidocaine so it was good.Holy thread resurrection Batman!

I forgot I left a 16oz Plumb hammer on top of my ladder, picked up the ladder to move it and bam, right on top of the head. Man that blead for quite awhile.
Sorry to hear this. I feel your pain, likely not as much as you did, viewing your staples. Last fall I was cleaning all the house windows, most are casements. Opened them up to vacuum the frames, coat the seals, linkage, caulking, etc. Then came the 2nd floor…got down off the ladder to get something and climbed back up and top of my head hit the bottom corner of the metal frame, damn that hurt then saw the blood streaming down over my sunglasses and t-shirt. Still have a bump in my scalp there that doesn’t seem to go away.
Flat bar slid down a roof. Right in the teeth. How in God’s name I didn’t lose any is beyond me.
