I would not recommend watching that drug out, dramatized video. It should have been 3 to 5 min long. And it's fake.
 
its crap.. but still not a fan of the guy just to shady for me ... sad part is. stuff like this is going on. gots to be careful was kinda the point of it.
there is a few more from the same guy that are really out in the eather.

There's been a recent rash of fake news click bait videos lately, most with AI generated teaser images.

Bet that image is nowhere in the actual vid.

I saw one last week teasing that Mike and Danielle from American Pickers conspired to poison Frank, and showed a similar AI pic as the OP of Danielle in handcuffs and orange jumpsuit.

That said, that guy is the poster child of the things that are wrong with the old car hobby. he wants money, and only money, and screws everyone he sees to get it.
Speaking of his TV show, flipping through the channels I came across an episode of his show. Within 5 minutes, he makes a deal on a clean texas(no rot) 69 Chevy c10 shortbox for: $1000. Yes, it was a I6, but the thing could have been waxed and called "patina" in this day and age it was so clean.... anyway, within that 5 minutes he sells it to a guy from the midwest, and opens with a price of $10,000.
So here is the thing, he buys it from a guy who he talks down the truck to, the guy wants it to go "to a good home and make someone happy". Monkey though? Nah, take advantage of a guy by blowing way past the price you talked to him on the phone about because he drove down from MN to pick it up and monkey knows he will pay more to not waste the trip. The guy says he will "come up to 6500 but my wife will kill me".
Yeah yeah, free market, the guy could have walked away, but monkey here takes advantage of the original seller, and then leverages the guy that travelled from MN to Texas for more money. I mean, why pay it forward when you are graciously given a smoking deal and make a little change for yourself when you can gouge a guy that just spent 15 hours pulling a trailer down south. I HATE that kind of thing, it stinks of selfish greed and artificially inflates the cost of everything in the hobby.

He obviously lives his life this way because he has money to throw around. I wonder how many people he has royally screwed over in his lifetime.
 
Not everyone's cup of tea. I did read his book and he has an interesting story of how he "made it". And of course, plenty of that show and prices paid are staged....
 
He does seem like a jerk,no humility for how Blessed he is. When Aaron left the show it was a major blow to his show. Dont care for him.

Made a shitload of $$$ out of nothing, he's a multi millionaire
it/he has a 3.4 of 5 rating 'isn't so great'
part of that is because of the show I'm sure
He had a crapload of help/combined ventures from his buddy Dennis Collins
of Collins Brothers Jeep, in Wylie Tx (he is filthy rich) his Jeep parts are nation wide
very respected company... Collins Bothers has a 4.5 of 5 rating...
GasMonkey Garage is still open & operating fulltime,
still thriving & building restoring classic & exotic cars/trucks 'today'
he added a gift shop too, I think I saw on some BS on MotorTrend TV

His TV persona is an ***, the real him isn't (I'd assume)
as bas bad as the scripted BS for TV persona, for ratings...
(like Mark Worman is, Graveyard Carz, same ****)

Aaron Koffman, after he left the show attempted to start his own show
& it failed horribly, twice, (His own shop/s went Bankrupt ?, allegedly, but it close post haste)
I watched it & it sucked ***, both attempts...
He/Aaron may have been a good tech/great fabricator, but not a good leader
or not a good business man,
scuttlebutt "allegedly" (again don't quote me) is that Richard,
helped made him a household name...

TV show like all of them
Made him/Aaron rich too, so he could go off on his own & try & do it the same way...
Didn't work out so much/or as well for him...

(did you know Street Outlaws 'Big Chief' Justin, is worth well over like $3,million now ?
I saw one place/writeup that said it was at a min. at least 10+ times that amount)

This jogs my memory, I also read his book.

The most telling part was when he was younger and bumming around. (I’m paraphrasing here. ) he learned to beg/con people out of money when he wanted it. He didn’t express any shame or regret.

In our modern world there doesn’t seem to be justice for this type of behavior. To the contrary it is rewarded.

A man has to live by his own moral code, but be prepared to encounter people with no conscious.
