Thank you to Hawk, Pistol Pete and to everyone else that had a hand in the flawless tent activities again. After my good friend @bryanh hauled my car up we made the ride back and forth from Camp Hill to the show. We met several new folks, Kern Dog and RC, 68Babyblue and others. Talked to Mark @eldubb440 for quite a while, love his work. If I had never met Bryan I probably never would have made the trip to Carlisle. He's been coming for years. Me only the last 3 but has been a blast.
Hawk and Nick were doing the raffle stuff when we got to the tent, I wound up winning a gas cap and a GTX cap. Very unexpected, but very appreciated. Now for the 'Surprise", looking at winners list after we loaded the car up. And this is what I found.

One of the most memorable moments for me in a while and a complete out of the blue surprise. Thank you to Bryan for the haul and The FBBO community for all the humor and knowledge.

Sweet! 1st place too. Congratulations to you and your beautiful GTX! I've been looking at all the pics posted of the event and have been wondering how they can possibly pick winners from all the cars in attendance. You HAVE to be stoked!

Thanks, stoked I like that. I have no idea how they choose either, I wouldn't want to judge. :usflag:

Congratulations! Well deserved. A beautiful GTX in a wonderful colour. I have a '67 R/T. I drove it down from Ontario a couple of times and got 2nd place in class on the Fun Field. Nice surprise!

Nice job, Berkeley. And once again, great to meet another GTX guy. Not many in my area. For many years there were two of us, with matching cars. Dave passed eleven years ago, after owning his GTX for 45 years. My blue '68 is still in the area, sold it shortly before retirement when I started downsizing. Surprise, that car was the basis for my screen name.

Nice. Congratulations. I just won another first place also recently with my blue Challenger. I know that they are just plaques or cheap plastic trophies. It's not the awards for me that matter. It's nice to see others notice all of ones hard work and detail.

Thanks Mark, I think the fact that you came by and touched the car had something to do with it.
I hope we can do again also.

Congratulations. Beautiful GTX.

I flew up and met some friends at Carlisle about 15 yrs ago. Awesome show. I'd love to go again and bring my car.

Congratulations and well deserved - your car is a beautiful example of a 67 GTX. My buddy Barry is building one that will be a near clone of that, although he is modifying it slightly. It should be at Carlisle next year in 2026!

Congratulations on the win Berkeley.
That's one sweet '67 you got there.

Sorry again I missed you when you swung by the FBBO tent.
Hawk had the whip out and wouldn't let me leave :poke:

Nick, you are just lucky I didn't task you with grilling!!!

Congratulations, your car is beautiful. It was nice meeting you at the tent as well.
