Estimated 1/4 mile - 71 Roadrunner 340 4 speed

Man, I wish I could justify a set of wheel scales. Even cheap wired ones would be great. But they just keep going up in price, and curiosity/convenience just doesn't cover the cost.

Anybody got a used set to sell cheap?

A Cat scale will work fine for weighing your car, it will be within 10 lbs or so, it's worth the couple bucks so that you know what your'e dealing with. Take note of how full the tank is a the time also.

I bought a used set of old cable Intercomps from a retiring stock car racer, $400. My son and I split the cost since we both race. Deals are out there.

As it sits with a ¾ full of gas, me in it and a full size 15x7 spare in the back with a 255 60r15 cooper cobra

No AC, power steering car
I'm 230 (need to lose more)
Spares probably at least 30

Read your description of the car without looking at the numbers.
Guessed 3900.
Great guess, from what I've read most people think the 71s are 4200lb cars

I'm hoping to get down to at least 3800, I think it's possible with removing the spare, some gas, swapping to the slicks since they feel at least 15lbs lighter a wheel, and removing the blower motor since it's not even hooked up at all. Hopefully a manual steering swap will cut even more

I think the 71-74s are a bit heavier than the 68-70s. Maybe not as much as some think.
My A12 was almost exactly 3700, without me, and I don't remember how much gas was in it.
I think it had lighter wheels than the stock steels, but otherwise stock. 440 6bbl, stock exhaust to the bumper, manual steering and drum brakes, 727, dana 60. With me in it, it was still under 3900 lbs.
(But my 62 Savoy is around 3450, with me in it)

I have a set of street 15x6, 15x8 steels for my 62, with radial t/a's. When I swap to centerlines, front skinnies and slicks, it saves over eighty pounds! JUST the wheel/tire swap!

I'm lighter than the a12 right now, so I must've saved a lot of weight via it being a small block and the alum. heads intake radiator and the radio delete

The early B bodys are another story though

Exactly, get out and remove that stuff and you're 35xx lbs. I wouldn't have guessed, but not around small block cars much. Impressive

You will never get good ETs with any street tires . You need lots of seat time burnouts reaction time with minimum hp parts intake headers and rear practice, practice practice.

Yea, I have made some changes, including 4.56s, slicks and now a 100 shot of nitrous. Still finalizing my entire fuel line situation, upgrading from 5/16 to 6an that i got for free from a buddy. Still probably gonna rework it again soon, I dont like the electric fuel pump mounting situation with a full tank, probably going to go to a cell and then go 10an from cell to the fuel pump inlet when I get the money, but right now I dont have much to work with as im dropping with my parents 700$ to 900$ a week on pilot lessons to get ahead early for my career, its also fun to fly
Like damn i barely drive my car even, ive taken it out maybe twice this summer, just been busy with life I guess

Just for comparison. My '71 Charger SE with 528 gen 2 cast iron hemi has aluminum heads, intake, water pump, and radiator. A833 trans and dana 60. With full gas, full spare and me weight is 4280 Lbs. I weigh in at 180 lbs. so high level math comes out at 4100 lbs. for car.
