Be careful with the chips....too big can clog the oil/chip pump and break the intermediate shaft. Use sawdust instead.

eh....don't like the way it smells....but pine seems to smell ok.
We use banana skins down this way as wood chips are hard to get hold of.
Also, with native woods the hardness varies too much to get consistency - meaning additional engine knock at higher RPM's.
Agree totally, and Cedar is not easily rotted as the bugs and insects stay away from it.
Viagra makes synthetic wood I hear.

'Doctored' lots of cars over the years but never sold any of them to someone else. One truck had a bad rear main seal leak and well, the thing was already whipped and beat to death (named it Edna) and bought a bottle of stop leak and well, it surprised me that it made it 90% better! Changed the oil when it got to that point and drove it for many more years. How bout 3 cans of STP in an engine because the valve stem seals were bad enough to engulf itself in smoke once it warmed up. Another beater pickup that I didn't want to spend the time to replace them. 20 years ago I put some brake fluid in the transmission of my 95 Dakota because it wasn't shifting too well even after adjusting the bands. That thing is still going.

Imo, Penzoil was one of them that was a junk oil. Used to change my oil quite often since I was drag racing my one and only driver. One day I was checking out a lifter tick and pulled of a valve cover and it had gunge streaks in it already.
