hello all! Does anyone happen to know what shocks came from the factory on a 1967 GTX 440 4spd? It was built at the LA, CA. plant 12/13/66. I am trying to restore m y car back to factory original as much as possible.

They would have been hydraulic shocks but you’ll have to hunt for oem ones. I don’t recall the manufacturer . Honestly I would get a good set of bilstiens paint them black and go. I completely understand if you don’t I just know how hard I’ve looked for some for my RT.

I usually buy Monroe shocks and paint them black. I find that they are equal to OE if not a little better.

Oriflow was the oem supplier I believe.

Finding true OE equipment is gonna be damn tough and stupid expensive if you do.

Finding them under a superseded number will be easier and a good bit cheaper. BUT they are not true OEM when it was new. But looks and drives the exact same

I bought all four under one of the superseded numbers last year I think I paid $300 for all 4

Just get a set of Monroe. #32022 front & #32073 rear. Paint black as Jerry posted.

good info and thanks all!

I'm pretty particular about originality with my car, but I went with the Monroes to save money for another item which is more visible, and hard to find.
