4 post lift in residential garage?

I have a wheeltronics mid rise lift. It’s marked snap on but wheeltronics made them.

36” lift height and it’s great for everything except pulling the transmission. Oil change, tire rotation, brake and suspension work, amazing and it’s portable.

I move it around the garage so I can park two cars inside.

I’ve considered this style lift….. just”seems” like they’re not so steady/safe?

Greg Smith 4 post lifts are hydraulic and only require 110v. They are super safe and can be rolled around with the optional wheels (car off of course) or bolted to the floor.

Can they go high enough to park another car underneath.

My ceiling is 9 and a half feet and I have a four post. I use it for everything including my sons ram 1500 4x4 with a 3 1/2 inch lift. I can raise everything high enough to sit on a rolling stool and work comfortably on everything.

I have a 9k four post, one thing I did that was handy was make a twelve inch tall knock up in the sheet rock ( framed it in and replaced the sheetrock) for where the antenna goes so I can raise car roof right to the ceiling. Also marked highest it can go with out striking car roof against garage roof (Just a little blue tape). Works wonderfully to safely max my lift for my location.

When i get home, i have to re-measure ceiling height. I don’t remember it, but im sure i dont have 9’….probably closer to 8’

7k Quick Jack for me. Gets the car high enough to pull tranny if I need to do a clutch. Portable, and all done about 1.2k when I bought it a few yrs. back. I had the garage built 13’+ for a 4 post, but didn’t have the $ lying around.
