There is special tool to set the distance. Leave it alone unless you’ve messed with it. It looks pretty close. More for kick down starting point than anything.

The weather finally cooperated yesterday.
The transmission still does not shift right.
I installed a stock valvebody, thinking I may have messed something up when installing my shift kit. 1-2 shifts decent but 2-3 still hangs for a bit when the throttle is to the floor. It shifts to 3rd if I let off a bit. Once in 3rd it doesn't slip.
I feel like there is something I am not seeing.
Will the governor cause this and still pressure test good? Could I have the weights installed incorrectly?
I added a hole to the lever on the transmission so that at idle it would be just approaching the point that throttle pressure starts and have full travel at wide open throttle.
There is very little free play.
Is that the right thing to do?
