Would adding a brake vacuum reservoir potentially cause hard starting? If so what are the options?

Thanks MF

Assuming no leaks and the vacuum source on the carb/manifold is correct - it should not affect starting of the engine.

Yeah I have a one way valve in line. I didn’t think so but just needed to make sure my thinking wasn’t off.

My thought is... why is there a consideration for a vacuum brake resevoir, and is there a hard starting condition ?

Yes and yes

I added power brakes with a 7” unit and my 340 only has about 7 hg of vacuum. The canister under the battery helps sufficiently enough to put off with a bendix unit at a later date. Or a different cam etc

Been working on my distributor curve and balancing my idle in and out of gear ie low rpms. I have a Progression distributor to help tune the motor which was built for a manual (I have an automatic).

What is the vacuum reading with the vacuum to the booster blocked off?
