been a while, but this sucks :mad: ..... shop is off limits while thunder is rolling, and it's been rolling for hours :blah:

Just started to rain here, back to the house. Was cleaning my front bumper brackets for paint.
 
Making me jealous! We've had short morning T-storms that brought us rain for about 3 minutes, the last two Tuesdays...only weather besides hot since oh I don't know late April maybe...other than that it's 100-degree business as usual out here. Actually today is only mid-90s, we're gettin' there!

Of course the title made me think you meant,

i'm on high ground surrounded with tall trees, in a well grounded metal building full of steel.......this place is a bullseye for lightening bolts...... I've learned to unplug and disconnect the router in the shop; I've had the house modem and shop router fry more than once

That makes your shop a Faraday Cage....you should be safe until the power fails. :drinks:

these lines of storms usually move east to west and clear in about an hour..... I believe the term for this particular line is "training", when it moves in the direction of the line

That weather front is all the way up to Maine and went through here, in NH, this afternoon.
