For a 69 factory dual point prestolite ignition what is the correct ohm valve for the ballast resistor and primary ignition coil resistance.

The Chrysler ignition ballast resistor used in 1969 for the Prestolite dual point and Chrysler single point systems, part number 2095501, measures 0.5 - 0.6 ohms at 70-80 degrees Fahrenheit.

The Chrysler 1969 production coil, for the Prestolite and dual point and Chrysler single point systems, primary resistance at 70-80 degrees Fahrenheit measures 1.6 - 1.79 ohms for the Prestolite 2444242 type coil and 1.34 - 1.55 ohms for the Essex/Echlin 2444241 type coil. Both coil types were provided by the two manufacturers under part number 2495531.

For my 1970 GTX RS23V0A******, I use a factory Prestolite dual point distributor, and a standard Essex coil and standard 0.5 ohm ballast. There were 2 separate coils listed in the FSM, both had similar primary resistance. The distributor was recurved to my specs. Without vacuum advance for a total of 35 degrees @ 2600 RPM.
