Quality control these days are complete s**t, bought this new convertor from Dynamic Convertors LLC had a leak coming from front of transmission, I pulled the transmission checked everything possible to locate this leak, I couldn't find anything wrong then decided to pressurize the convertor for leaks, yup right where there were gobs of weld slag and then machined the slag down, DC.LLC claims all convertors are pressure checked, you wouldn't believe how excited & relieved I was when I found the source of this leak. Of all of the positive reviews I have read about DC.LLC this will be in the books for reviews. Why in the world would there be all of this gobs of weld in two areas, covering up imperfections or leaking from the main weld holding the hub to the impeller cover? It seems they had an issue in this area then tried fixing it by having an amateur weld the problem never checked for leaks. Not acceptable. I’m thinking DC.llc source these units out from another shop, not sure. I couldn’t find any current info on new installations for these converters from DC.llc.
