The same for me! It's been a progression kind of thing my whole life and one of my inspirations. The things I have always dreamt of having. I've said this before, if I would have stopped when people said I was crazy, I'd still be poor. My life has always been a bucket list kind of thing. I've lived in eight homes, some on a 56,000 acre lake, land, trees, city and as a family, we've flipped dozens of homes. I bought and sold my share of our bucket list farm back to my brother, one more off the list. The problem is, time waits for no one, I'm aging out, like all of us. For instance, I don't have the space anymore after downsizing or the will to pull the front end from under my Coronet, so I'm paying a friend to do it for me. Now I'm building a farm, town and lake community, in my basement, reverting back to the start. When I was a small child, I fell in love with the hobby store layout.
Not so much for the trains, but for the budlings and roads to use with my cars.
Trains did eventually catch on, but only models, not real ones...
...and then appreciation for the real ones and the history of technology set in.

Yep, compared to a dealer that said they'd hold the 4066 JD for me and sold it out from under me. I think they did me a favor though and saved me 15 grand. A local Kubota dealer has an identical 5740 setup listed right now at 58 + tax! More than double what I paid...Dumb old school people with integrity.. sounds like a ..... / win
