Chassis black paint code

Does anybody have a paint code for the correct black for chassis and underhood parts such as A/C brackets & compressor? Thanks

There were differing level of gloss depending on the vendor & part - some basically "semi-gloss" or "satin", and some fairly glossy but cheap paint. Some parts were literally dipped, others sprayed. Look for drips on stuff like torsion bars and you can see the method used. What I do is clean the parts and go from there - noting that non-gloss tended to fade or get kind of chalky. Somewhere between 30-50% gloss is a general range.
