When I took my front end apart it had this weird bolt on sway bar contraption that was falling apart. I installed a set of Bergman weld on tabs on my Lower Control Arm, these are welded inboard of the Strut rod. after reassembling my front end I realized that the tab location was about 4" shorter than the bolt on location, and my sway bar is too wide. I found out that new location was the 1970 and up location. Does anyone know if I can use a 70's on up sway bar on my 66?
my last-ditch thing would get mine bent but I really do not want to do this.

You would have to seriously modify your k member to get the sway bar in there. I think welding the tabs back to where they belong would be the best bet

The existing LCA didn't have tabs and I have no Idea where to put them. they had some loosely bolted on rubber isolated contraption. I installed these using photos from the seller.
I may just get the one I have bent to size. I know it's not optimal but I gotta go with what I know.

The originals share the shock mount hole.
It's possible to cut them off and weld them:

Just looking at a proper 67 setup.. uh,ya. Don't think bending it is going to work in your favor............

The "newer" style which mounts to the lower control arm as shown was a mid year 66 upgrade.

Have to agree, most 66s we have came with the new style.
But he's got the old " contraption"

Well I welded the tab on when I put the boxing plate on the Lower control arm. I have a few Ideas Ill tell ya what I come up with when I figure it out.
