1966 Coronet Project

The lone trim ring is for probably a 69 magnum road wheel. 14"X6"
The exhaust tips look to be for a Plymouth ( oval).
Thanks. Wasn’t sure on the exhaust tips. You are correct on the trim ring as that’s what that was pulled off of.

Well I have made no actual progress on the project except to collect parts. Been sorting and cleaning up my parts pile. Popped the lid on this tote full of carbs and alternators. This should be fun…..

67 parts cars and trip number 6 of cleaning up. Both of these cars were wrecked in the front. Both were 383 cars with no drivetrain. Lots of usable parts. Here is the conundrum. One car has zero front suspension but a complete rear with tires. The other has no rear and front drums in place. Going to put some roller tires on it but that will be a chore. Short of installing a rear to move does anyone make a heavy duty wheeled roller to stuff under car?

May have to make your own. How about forks, with extensions, on a tractor?

Some old school tow trucks used to have a pair what looked like trailer axles.

Not sure how exactly they were used.

No tractor available tilt bed flat car hauler is going to take them to the shop. I have some bare 8 3/4 housings and a stack of axles. Might just need to bite the bullet and try to jack up and slide under in the field.

This is the steering column from one of the wrecked parts cars. Tell me that didn’t break some ribs.

Ouch!
Reminds me of Easter 1964. Riding around in our small town. Driving my parents 61 Pioneer. 6 friends in the car. There was a very low road by sports grounds. Usually snowed in in the winter. It had thawed, frozen water mains. Town had dug it out. No warning signs. Area was full of water. I floored it.
Well the front end almost cleared the other side of the trench that was under water. But bounced out to the other side. Two passengers in the front spider webbed the windshield, I bent the top of the steering wheel with my teeth. Teeth weren’t hurt, I think because I had been eating tough bull moose since I was little. Mother and father cooked a lot of meat that I think would almost shatter if dropped. They were very concerned about worms.
Still have my teeth and I think the old steering wheel is around.
I sold the Pioneer to a fellow in 2019, who is freshening it up. Car was always garaged, parked, inside storage from 1974-2016. 313, would roll the speedometer all the way to 120. Dad told me.
