Stellantis announced today that the Rampage is going to Europe for 2026. 100% built in Brazil. 2 versions are going:
Rampage Rebel 2.0L I4 turbo diesel, 200hp
Rampage R/T 2.2L I4 turbo gas, 272hp
Both have 8 speed automatic trans and AWD

Makes you wonder if it was supposed to come to North America until the tariffs started.

the ones mentioned on here aren't body on frame they are unibody
not real trucks made south of the border, so who cares

When I was working in MEX 2015-2020 they had little trucks like these down there. They had different front ends but almost the same. Never got close to one to see what it actually was. You could still buy a Dart down there long after they quit selling them here, and the new furd Raingerr was down there at least 3 years before it went on sale here.

Truck prices are nuts.
An add appeared on my phone for a local chevy dealer. 1500 Silverado half ton full size truck..... with a single cab long bed.... and a four banger! (Admittedly turbo'ed)
Fer almost FIFTY GRAND, after dealer discount!
I'm gonna do what it takes to keep my non-blue def diesel running for the rest of my life

Seems like it could be a nice competitor to the Maverick if priced right. I wish it was an option when I shopped for mine, I miss the original Rampage and the idea of a modern 2.2 turbo seems cool. It can bookend since I have the original 2.2 Turbo already.

The Rampage is a rebadged Fiat, the Dakota a fresh design. Curious to see what's instore for the US.
I`m all set with any rebadged Fiat. When we were shopping for a new Jeep for the wife 5-6 years back and I realized some were Fiats it was a hard NO on those models.

Until the EPA changes MPG rules, you will never see a real compact truck in the USA. Small vehicles (based on wheel base and track width) must have such high fuel mileage that they can't be sold here in the USA. This is why the Ford Ranger, for example, is darn near bigger than a full size truck of old!

Absolutely correct!
Remember the Dodge Nitro? The one with the big fender flairs? It was built that way so they could move the wheel track out about 8 inches, and save about 10 mpg off EPA regulations.

The Jeep Gladiator is the same length and nearly as wide as the old 2010 Dakota, it's too bad they can't figure out how to make a Ram version of that Jeep.

I know, people now look at a Maverick and say its a small truck, but it dwarfs the mini trucks I grew up around in the 80s/90s. I've pulled up at a light next to fullsize trucks from the older era and I'm almost looking the driver in the eye.
Before this thread even started for some weird reason earlier in the week I was thinking it would be really cool to get an 80s Rampage, probably not a rational thought tho.
