Best Rock & Roll Riffs

That song is a GREAT exercise for both left hand fingering and right hand staccato up picking.

I likes me some Beck.

Howdy
Uncle Ted "Cat Scratch Fever"
Krokus "Bedside Radio"
Awesome to see Ted get some recognition. His personality has overshadowed his talent in the last decade or so, and unfortunately for those that didn’t know of him before it tarnishes their opinion of him, and that’s a shame as he is a genuine talent on guitar. For me it all went wrong at Wango Tango, one of the most annoying songs that I am aware of. However, his work before that was exemplary. I was fortunate to see him in about ‘81 and it was one of the best shows I’ve seen. His solos on Motor City Madhouse, Wang Dang Sweet Poontang, and Hibernation on the Double Live Gonzo album are excellent.
And I still listen to Krokus all the time. Screaming in the Night is a very well done song but there are so many others.

Speaking of Ted Nugent, I love cranking Stranglehold and banging along on the drums!
But there are soooo many great rock riffs that this thread can go on for days.

Many, many Great guitar riffs have been played since the beginning of R&R. This thread began in 2012, if I remember correctly, and nobody has given Slash any love for " Sweet child of Mine ". That's got be in the top 10.

Howdy I can't remember what tour it was that I saw Unkle Ted, it was in 79-80 very enjoyable. I saw Krokus in a bar on their Hardware tour front row in front of the lead guitarist. Funny story after a few songs the lead singer said the next song is, and I shouted out "Bedside Radio" and he stared at my with a puzzled look than a smile. Many months before I had taped one of their concerts off of "King Biscuit flower hour" show. PS I still have the guitarist's pic that he handed to me.

Fernando Von Arb?
Incredibly under rated.

My 1987 band played "Stayed Awake All Night".
That's a super fun song to play.

I caught the guitar (by the headstock) that was thrown into the audience in 1984, but it was ripped out of my hands by a fat guy in the next row back.

I remember when a bill was introduced to the Washington state house to make Louie, Louie the official state song. But it failed. Washington state was almost cool.

not the best riff...but catchy as hell. sounds good loud. could be a repeat though.
