Car movie mistakes that piss you off.

Does a car falling over a cliff always explode ?
No they do not. But we are going to check this coming 04 July at the car off the cliff event in Alaska. This is real cars going off a cliff. The larger camper vans certainly smash into small pieces from what I have seen on video. The engines do scream when they are off the ground.

Of course they don't. My comment was facetious.

Close ups of radial tires on any scene set in the 1960s. Original owner of my GTX put radials on it in 1972, and that was the first Mopar I ever saw wearing them.
Don't know when radials came out in Europe but it was well before here. Bias ply automotive tires didn't like heavy loading and going 100 mph like the 'rads' were doing in Germany. Even the mid 50's NASCAR guys were using the heavier truck tires because they didn't blow out like car tires were doing....

when cars that were brand new in the era they are filmed in, but when poorly restored vintage cars are used during filming, showing 50+ years of wear in areas of the car that should be brand new.

Yes they do (reference your avatar).

The car blew up in the movie I watched last night. The movie was made in Ozz. The lead lady managed to bail out while the car was on the way down. The baddies poured petrol on the outside of the car, but it did not go boom until it hit the bottom.

Lots of movies get the bike sounds wrong.

In the first ‘Death Wish’ his son drives a mopar, can’t remember now what it was, CB asked about the engine, son said 383 Hemi

Decades ago my dad bought a beater Chrysler wagon and a guy he knew worked on it and swore up and down it had a 440 Hemi. I didn’t know **** back then but knew that was wrong and said so, dude insisted he was correct so I let it go.

Driving down a flat city street and the car always flips over then it burst into flames.
Hands on the steering wheel back and forth like a handsaw.
52 speed manual transmission sort of like the movie AR15 that never needs a reload

Stage V actually built 440 Hemi engines before Mopar Performance reissued the Hemi engine blocks. So 440 Hemi engines actually exist.

I figured there would be something special out there, but I don't think that wagon had one of them.
Its too bad that the wagon ended up impounded and then I saw it at a JY with the engine missing, but at the time (mid 90s) it was just some old car. I remember they couldn't find the front wheel bearings for it for some reason.

Cars speeding down the road and hit a parked car left front to right rear. but somehow you can see the speeding car start rising so it can flip and roll over. I doubt that would really happen.
