Decal Question

Im going to have my 69 Road Runner repainted my question is when are the bird decals on the door and trunk put on? Once the color is put on do the decals go on then and then the clear is put over the decals or is the car painted and cleared and the decals go on top of the clear.

Finish the paint entirely, including buffing. Cleared over decals can be a problem down the road. If you are painting on stripes or custom graphics then they are Cleared over.

Remove all emblems, window trim, roof rail trim, wheel well trim, and bumpers. Also grill, headlight bezels and tail panel. I can list other things needing removed, it just depends on how GOOD of a paint job you want. Removing things is something you can do, and not have to pay for. I like to do paint jobs to the extent that they look better than factory. I think it's called restoration. My question to you is, from how far away do you want the car to look new??? 3 feet? 10 feet? 20 feet? 50 feet or more?

Looking good, pull the taillights too. I see you have pulled the doors, now the hood and decklid so they can be trimmed out too. That will make for a great job.

I don't think they were the silver like zinc, but were black. Someone knows more about 69 Road Runners than me.
