I’m replacing the long fuel and return lines on a 69 super bee. The pictured clip was part of the securing hardware kit. It appears to be for the return line, anyone know where it goes??
Thank you, you are correct. It looks like these were in the wrong location at one time also as the bump out has a definite flat spot. Unless that is the way they look.
Could you tell me if I have the correct orientation of the jets, I believe it to be just as the 4140 would be. The 4343 is also...
Thanks Fran, another question . On the secondary booster Venturi’s, service manual says there is a right and left. They do not say how to distinguish. These carbs were butchered. Looking at the underside of the venturis there is a larger and smaller holes, any idea if the larger holes on both...
It was my guess that the choke shaft had to be incorrect. I figured it needed to be chamfered to clear the bleeds. Thanks for your input and at least I know the drill size if I can indeed repair the bleeds.
I bought a couple of rebuild kits and four floats with the intention of performing a thorough cleaning and basic rebuild.
Had an unusual hard time just to remove the air horn. Seemed like it was hanging on the brass air bleeds that poke through the air horn. Seems the choke shaft actually wore...
lokar throttle and trans. only thing i had to modify was the mounting tab to carb, needed to add a downward facing tab as it would change position , didnt want to tighten nut to carb base like a madman. holley had an indent so it was a quick fix.
What you said is spot on. I have the Lokar cable, I’m not running out of cable I’ve run out of pedal travel. No way to change the pedal travel other than messing with the stud location on the carb to alter the ratio. I was hoping that a another solution would be available
Has anyone else run into the problem of the 66/67 b body gas pedal assembly not providing enough travel to attain full throttle on a 4150 Holley carb.
I’m currently using the 1/4 inch hole that is closest to the throttle shaft center line. A Lokar cable assembly but stock gas pedal and bell...
This gtx is a show cruiser , 727 auto with a 2:94 sure grip. It sees a fair amount of turnpike and parkway drives at 75+ mph. Vacuum secondary would be your suggestion? 850 too large for my combo?
